Join us in beautiful BC for our 2nd yoga retreat at Nectar Yoga Retreat Centre — the kind of place where you’ll find every last detail thoughtfully curated, while on a magical mountainous island, no less.

Co-hosted by 1000-hr Yoga Teacher, Cassie Connor & our dear friend, Michaela van Beinum — Light Artist based out of Montréal, QC.

For 4-nights and 5-days on Bowen Island, you can walk on property trails, put your feet in the stream, bask in the sun lounges or even walk to the ocean. Alongside a warm & welcoming community, you’ll eat food that looks like art, and tastes like your mum’s garden.

Cassie will weave active, restorative, and meditative yoga practices with myths & good-night stories about the wild woman archetype, from the book: Women Who Run With The Wolves by Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés.

Michaela will foster the connection with our creative inner worlds in her workshop “How to Play with Light”. Through laughter and wonder, we will tap into the purest form of joy that’s held deep in our souls. You’ll go home with your very own light installation & bright memories.

On mornings, you’ll wake up to energizing yoga practices, and wind down before bed with restorative practices and stories. In between, there’s space for you to rest, reflect, and explore the forest.

Yoga practices include: asana (postures), pranayama (breath practices/life force expansion), dharana/dhyana (meditation), guided rest and often, poetry and music.

Meet your hosts

Cassie Connor is a trauma-informed yoga teacher and yoga therapist with 1200 hours of formal training, 7 years of teaching experience, and 13 years of personal practice.

Her classes are compassion-focused, option-oriented, and designed to reconnect our mindbody with the earth beneath our feet. She weaves a wide range of yoga practices and styles including vinyasa flow, yin, restorative, Yoga Nidra, pranayama and meditation complemented by music and poetry.

Cassie will be guiding 11 yoga practices on the retreat - from movement, to rest, and everywhere in between.

Michaela van Beinum is an abstract artist and electrical engineer who merges art and technology to craft captivating multimedia installations. Through a blend of projections, code, and recycled materials, she pushes the boundaries of traditional expression, inviting viewers on an immersive journey into the extraordinary.

Michaela will be building us an interactive art installation as well as teaching a hands-on light-art workshop.

Choose your accommodations

Choose from a selection of Deluxe Cottages (3), the Moonstone Cottage (1) , A-Frame Cottages (3), or accommodations within the main lodge - The Emerald, Turquoise, or Amber rooms (3). Your choice of lodging determines the cost of your retreat.

Deluxe Cottages: Double OR Triple Room

$2300 $1800 (triple) or $2600 $2000 (double) per person (including tax). 2 deluxe cottages are still available.

Nectar’s modern, Scandinavian-inspired deluxe cottages were designed with simplistic coziness in mind. Comfy beds, soft linens, fluffy pillows and a reading window seat offer perfect places to snuggle up to a loved one, or with a good book. Wake up and take a morning shower in the gorgeous bathroom, or take it outside in the steamy, outdoor shower adjoining the bathroom. A covered porch lined with warm cedar perches you with a perfect view of the property’s centerpiece, our magnificent maple and alder trees.

This cottage offers similar amenities as the deluxe cottages with added seclusion. Wake up to sunbeams illuminating the room through the windows before sipping tea on your porch nestled on the edge of the Alder grove. A rustic outdoor shower awaits you with sweet-smelling natural products to lather on.

Whitewashed walls and a warm, pine-clad angled ceiling await you in this cozy bedroom. With skylights in both the bedroom and attached ensuite bathroom, as well as a large window overlooking our A-Frame Cottages, nature is at your fingertips from this simple room.

Coming solo?

A-Frame Cottages: Single Room [SOLD OUT]

$2400 per person (including HST). The A-frame cottages are fully booked.

Warm, pine-clad angled walls welcome you at our modernized 60s-throwback A-frames. The comfy beds and cozy linens await your dreams, while the picture window and its lush foliage views await your daydreams. Use the space for creative pursuits, or as a basecamp for a walk in the forest. Rainy day? Sit outside on your covered porch and enjoy the fresh, pine-scented ocean air and the sound of raindrops caressing the old-growth trees.

The Amber & Turquoise Rooms [SOLD OUT]

$2400 per person (including HST). The Amber & Turquoise rooms are still available.

Large windows capturing the forested views of the property await you. With a spacious closet for storage, soft linens and warmly-lit bedside lamps, these small, simple rooms are perfect for our solo travelers. The shared full bathroom next door includes two sinks and a walk-in shower.

You are fully confirmed when your $700 nonrefundable deposit has been received. The remaining amount must be paid in full by June 1st to keep your spot. Payments can be made by e-transfer or by credit card (for a 3.45% fee).

No refunds will be made for cancellations made after June 1at.
